Elsevier Publishing Workshop
At EuroSun 2024, ISES is pleased to once again offer a special workshop on academic publishing with the publisher of the ISES journals - Solar Energy and Solar Energy Advances, Elsevier.
This workshop is structured to support researchers in their publication endeavours. It is intended for all researchers (PhD students, as well as Post-Doctoral and academic researchers). Special emphasis will be on writing scientific articles and how to approach the review and publication process. The workshop will cover the process of selecting a journal, the review process, tips for revising papers and other important topics authors should know before preparing a journal paper. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the publisher and editors of ISES journals
The workshop will be hosted by Elsevier and will welcome Dana Niculescu, Senior Publisher of Renewable and Sustainable Energy Journals, including the ISES journals, Solar Energy and Solar Energy Advances.
Speakers
Dana Niculescu
A linguist by formation, Dana has been a publisher with Elsevier for 7 years. She is currently managing a portfolio of 11 journals in renewable and sustainable energy. Among the journals in her portfolio are the two ISES publications Solar Energy and Solar Energy Advances, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy, , Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells, Solar Compass, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Transition.
Denia Kolokotsa
Denia Kolokotsa is Professor of Energy Management at the School of Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, Greece. Denia is the current Editor in Chief of Solar Energy Advances, the first ever fully open access publication by ISES.
Since 2011 Denia is President of the European Cool Roofs Council. She has coordinated numerous International Research Projects in the field of Energy Management in the Built Environment and she is the author of more than 100 papers published in high impact scientific journals.
